I’m Dr. Shehz.

I’m an eye surgeon, the founder of Visionary Eye Surgery in Plano, Texas, a TEDx speaker, and a stand-up comedian.

Medicine has taught me to listen closely. Comedy has taught me that sometimes, a laugh opens a conversation that nothing else can. Onstage, I bring those perspectives together to explore leadership, belonging, and who we are beyond our achievements.

My experiences in humanitarian eye surgery, including a medical mission to Gaza, have shaped how I think about service and responsibility. I’ve spoken about humanitarian medicine, and my TEDxRandburg talk explored loneliness and belonging.
